MANILA – We are used to welcoming artists from the Philippines for performances in New Zealand, but this is perhaps the first time the process is happening in reverse.

Well known Filipino-Kiwi singer and actor Russell Siayngco participated in a concert titled ‘OOTK2’ (Over, Over sa Tawanan at Kantahan 2) on February 6, 2016, at Sta. Maria, Bulacan Gymnasium in the province of Bulacan, the Philippines.

The event was organised by the New Zealand registered entertainment company Filipianz Ltd, which is headed by Russell and his wife Maria. This is the second time the pair have organised this event in Pinas, with Russell taking top billing and being supported by other entertainers in the Philippines.

The event raised funds to support the Come to Jesus Fellowship, Sta. Maria, Bulacan, headed by Reverend Salvador Sagayaga, for their upcoming medical mission to Luzon and Visayas in May this year.

Highlights of the show were as follows:

Russell Siayngco’s amazing rendition of the song Ikaw lang ang Aking Mahal by VST and his duets with Russel Lim, Raymond Gorospe and Rhayna Diva. Plus a heart warming trio with Uriel and Paul featuring the inspiring song Batang-Bata Ka Pa.

Raymond Gorospe won the title of best male model at WCOPA 2015 (World Championship of Performing Arts) in Long Beach California, U.S.A.

Russel Lim is a host, stand-up comedian and singer. He was a Divading grand finalist (voice of Regine Velasquez) and Magandang Tanghali Bayan (MTB) in the ‘Ang Saya’ segment on ABS-CBN.

Ate Shawie is a talented celebrity, stand-up comedian and impersonates Sharon Cuneta.

Rhayna Diva is a talented singer and Noel impersonates Zsa Zsa Padilla.
